I experienced some issues while learning to use Clo 3d so I wanted to share the solution, as I didn’t quite find it anywhere. I was learning to apply print to fabric in Clo 3d that was made into a seamless pattern in illustrator.

Here is the print

The first problem I encountered was that the fabric was transparent in Clo. The pattern was exported as JPG in CMYK color model in Adobe illustrator.

I saw a post in Clo that recommended exporting the pattern in Jpeg in RGB color model to fix the issue.

Here is the post below

It did fix the issue but then as you can see there is a white line in-between the pattern tile, this isn’t an issue with my pattern as it is seamless in illustrator.

Another example of the same problem in a different pattern.

The solution I found that worked was exporting the pattern in PNG with white background (using the transparent background makes the fabric transparent). Remember to resize the artboard to fit the art/pattern before exporting.

As you can see, No white line what so ever. The pattern is now seam less.

Update : I just realized that my jpeg was exporting at low resolution. That was the reason for the white line in the jpeg. But now I chose RBG at high resolution which fixed the issue.
